Built for the community we serve.

We're not a chain pharmacy. We're a local team that believes the relationship between you and your pharmacy should feel personal — the way healthcare is meant to feel: familiar, trusted, and genuinely caring.

At Medlock Pharmacy, we take the time to know our patients by name because to us, you're more than a prescription number. Whether it's delivering medications to your home, helping navigate insurance challenges, finding savings opportunities, or simply answering questions, we're here to make things easier.

We work behind the scenes so you don't have to — helping get your medications into your hands quickly, reliably, and at the best price we can find.

Everything we've built comes from serving the people in our community every day. And that's the part we're most proud of.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

The things people ask before they switch — or call us for the first time.

How do I transfer my prescription to Medlock Pharmacy?

Three options. Use our HIPAA-secured transfer form on this site, call us at (678) 691-1375, or stop by. We only need the medication name and the name of your previous pharmacy. We handle the rest, including calling your old pharmacy. Most transfers are complete the same day.

Do you offer free prescription delivery?

Yes — free local delivery is one of the things that defines us. There's no minimum, no fee, and no special status required. Most prescriptions go out the same day. Just ask when you transfer or call in a refill.

What is a compounding pharmacy?

Compounding is the practice of preparing a medication tailored to an individual patient — a custom dosage, an alternative form (cream instead of pill, liquid instead of tablet), or an allergen-free version. We compound for pediatric patients, for adults who can't tolerate standard formulations, and for veterinary patients whose pets need flavored or dose-adjusted medications.

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Medicare Part D, Tricare, UnitedHealthcare, and Express Scripts. If you don't see your plan listed, call us at (678) 691-1375 — we likely accept it. We'll verify your coverage before you switch.

How long does it take to fill a prescription?

Most prescriptions are ready in about 15 minutes once we have everything we need from your prescriber and your insurance. Compounded prescriptions take longer because they're prepared individually — typically the same day or the next, depending on the formulation.

Do you offer immunizations?

Yes — we administer flu, COVID-19, shingles, pneumonia, Tdap, and a range of travel vaccines. No appointment is required for most. For travel-specific consultations, please call ahead so we can prepare the right protocol.

What makes an independent pharmacy different from a chain?

Pharmacists own us — not holding companies, not corporate quotas. That changes everything. We answer the phone every time. We know your name. We have the latitude to spend twenty minutes on a complicated prior authorization, find a coupon you didn't know existed, or suggest a generic that saves you real money. The relationship is the product.

Where is Medlock Pharmacy located?

We're at 11035 Medlock Bridge Road, Suite 40, Johns Creek, GA 30097 — at the intersection of Bell Road and Medlock Bridge Road, across from EVOQ. We're open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and closed on weekends.
